A few weeks ago, I have decided once again to set all of my posts to private. No, it’s not because I finally wanted to wipe the slate clean and just start anew. In fact, I do want all of my digital stuff — both old and new — to mingle with each other in just one place.
An important choice point
So, what pushed me to do this again, after I’ve managed to clear some stuff from my backlog during the last… two years? Thankfully, it’s really nothing deep. It just has to do with aesthetics, as I suddenly couldn’t decide where I should put the “Continue Reading” line break: would the layout look better if it’s after the 2nd paragraph or the 3rd paragraph?
Or maybe, it should be after the 1st paragraph, to make everything seem neater and more organized?
This last option is what I ended up with, because it looks good for posts that start with a photo (or video). But, for posts like this that have no media attached, I figured that it may be “too early” to splice it after just one block, so I’ve decided to put it after the second.
Rules & realizations
Well, I think I’m good with these general “rules” for now. Though, likely, I’d still come across posts where I’d have to break these rules. I wish I didn’t have to think about these kinds of things too much, but knowing me, it just isn’t possible :))
Realization: Goddamn, it has already been two years since I started this whole blog reboot thing and I still haven’t…? Okay, that sentence ends right there.
Right now, I’m deciding to take my focus away from what I haven’t done, and redirecting it to the blog-related things to look forward to instead 💕
